43% increase in calls to the Women’s Aid Helpline during lockdown. That’s among the shocking statistics released by the Domestic Violence Service today as coronavirus restrictions push abuse in the home to new extremes.  Linda Smith, Women’s Aid National Free Phone Helpline Manager joined us with reaction to this increase in calls.
