Deep in the New York Times lies a strange collection of articles that have yet to be published. At last count, their number of obituaries was at over 2,000. The New York Times is among the last major international news outlets to dedicate an entire department to the writing of obituaries.

Adam Bernstein previously spent 17 years writing and editing obituaries at the Washington Post, and is now The New York Times Deputy Obituaries Editor. He joins Seán to discuss.
