The Catholic Church has been rocked by many scandals, not just in Ireland but all over the world. However the French Bishops Conference has taken a more direct approach so that parishioners can verify the status – and history – of any priest.
Each clergyman at any level within the church will be required to carry a card that will give either a green, orange or red notification.
