A concerned mother contacted the show, her daughter is starting her first year in secondary school in September and she has forwarded us on the menu which includes the likes of garlic & cheese wedges, southern fried chicken baguettes, Curry wedges, Chilli Chicken Ciabatta’s and Three-in-ones.

Her email reads: ‘I can’t believe this is the food that is available to young girls. My question is should I approach the school directly or go higher?’

Ciara chats to dietitian and expert on Operation Transformation Aoife Hearne.
