INMO Supports TD Denis Naughten's Calls For Additional Paid Leave
Roscommon TD Denis Naughten has again called for additional paid leave for frontline workers who have been running our hospital and community services through two waves of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Many nurses complain that the cover is not there to allow for paid leave but that they would be happy with a once off payment similar to the Scotland situation mentioned by Denis Naughten.
The acute circumstances that frontline workers have been through since March has taken a toll on the workforce and with this in mind should we be awarding frontline workers additional paid leave?
David Hughes is the Deputy General Secretary of the INMO and stated that the INMO have put in a claim for additional paid leave for frontline workers.
