New figures show 243 Gardaí were injured after being assaulted on duty last year. According to Freedom of Information data released to Newstalk’s Eoghan Murphy it is a 9% increase on 2020. Former Garda Christy tells Andrea - 'I have been assaulted on numerous occasions on the job, some I reported some I didn't bother reporting. We really don't get the overall picture of actual assaults, we need to see a fuller picture.'
