This week, An Post released a series of new stamps commemorating the Golden Jubilee of Thin Lizzy’s formation. The iconic band are remembered today for such hits as Jail Break and Dancing In The Moonlight.

The band's story was one of ups and downs, achievements and great challenges. These stamps honour the band's charismatic frontman Phil Lynott, but are also a fitting tribute to the brilliance of Jim Fitzpatrick, the Dublin-born artist responsible for much of Thin Lizzy’s iconic imagery.

Gavan Reilly is joined by Donal Fallon of the Come Here To Me! blog for another episode of  Hidden Histories.
