As a NASA astronaut, Nicole Stott spent time on both the ISS and the Space Shuttle.

And it was because of these experiences in space staring back at the Earth that made her realise just how precious and beautiful Earth truly is.

She even wrote a book about it - it’s called ‘Back to Earth: What Life in Space Taught Me About Our Home Planet―And Our Mission to Protect It’ - Nicole joined Jonathan to discuss.

For Newsround, Jonathan was also joined by Dr.Susan Kelleher & Dr. Shane Bergin to go through the top news stories from the week in science.
