Increasingly we’ve been hearing that CRISPR-Cas 9 technology is set to change medicine, science and perhaps society itself in the coming years.

Gene Editing is a concept that has graduated from Science fiction to fact and for many people that is as terrifying as it is exciting. In this episode of Futureproof Extra, Jonathan is joined by Robin Lovell-Badge, Group Leader at London's Francis Crick Institute, to talk about the possibility of gene editing in helping find cures to genetic disorders, the ethics of the whole process and how long until a patient can walk in a hospital and expect to be cured of a serious genetic condition.
