Europe is experiencing a hot war for the first time in decades, and it has rocked the politics and economics of the continent. Energy prices and inflation soared last year and have required governments to bail out companies and consumers.

Inflation remains high though and the biggest country in the EU, Germany is officially in recession. Markus Breyer, the head of Business Europe, which represents the biggest companies in Europe joined Joe Lynam live from Brussels.
