For those of you who don't know, 3D printing is the process of layering polymers to form shapes defined by a piece of software.  Its potential is huge but because the process is so time consuming, it hasn't taken off yet. 

Now there’s an online course in 3D printing starting at the South East Technological University formerly known as Waterford and Carlow RTCs. David Alarco is the programme leader at SETU and he joined Joe on the show this morning.
