This week on Alive and Kicking Clare McKenna speaks to Aoife Ryan who, with a group of dieticians, is blasting the dangerous myths and fad diets of cancer prevention and have come together to publish a cookbook.

Clare was joined by Alan Coleman, CEO of Wolfgang Reforest to talk about about how reforesting is one of our best defences against climate change.

And with many people unable to be with loved-ones this Christmas, Clare is joined by Tom Hickey, Head of Fundraising & Communications at The Mater Foundation, to talk about their 'Words of Light' campaign and together spare a thought for the people spending Christmas Day in hospital.
