Niall Quinn was at the Etihad Stadium today as a pundit for Sky Sports but before the game kicked off he spoke with Off the Ball’s Nathan Murphy about his time at City, the work that has gone on behind the scenes at the Etihad that makes City a different prospect to other clubs reaping the benefits of billionaire oil backing.
More importantly than all of that though was his answer to the big question about if he’ll be working for Sky Sports as a GAA pundit this summer. Unfortunately for anyone looking forward to the oddity of Niall Quinn analysing the finer points of Kilkenny versus Tipp at Nowlan Park, he won’t be taking up GAA punditry duties this summer.
“I’m going to watch GAA games. I won’t be working or anything like that on GAA games. I’m looking forward to getting to as many games as I can,” Quinn said.
