It emerged last week that Intel have invested €5 billion in its Leixlip plant over the last number of years, a sign of the blue chip company’s commitment to Ireland.

So, will the IDA use such an announcement as a calling card to attract other companies in this industry to our shores? And will such prospective investments benefit other counties in Ireland, currently devoid of such investment?
