The Christmas period is the busiest time of year for many people and businesses - but taxi drivers are guaranteed to have an exceptionally busy festive season.

With Christmas parties and nights out keeping drivers busy throughout December, it's then straight into Christmas and New Years week. 

With so many passengers - many likely having consumed more than a few festive tipples - it's not surprising that taxi drivers have to deal with some exceptionally strange, ridiculous and amusing situations.

Newstalk Breakfast's Paul Williams joined taxi drivers to hear about their Christmas experiences.

From frisky couples to a man 'who just got out of jail', there's certainly been some bizarre scenes in the backseats of Ireland's taxis.
