Talks are continuing this evening in Dublin in a bid to avoid tomorrow morning's rail strike.
If the strike goes ahead- rail services – Dart, Commuter and Intercity – will not run between 6am - 9am.
There is little sign of a solution as management and unions continue talks
Management had said commuters would know by late afternoon but there is till no sign of an agreement or an end to talks.
Drivers are threatening to stop working for three hours during rush hour in a dispute over pay and productivity.
Talks adjourned last night without agreement.
Tens of thousands of rail passengers were disrupted when drivers went on strike last month.
Drivers are due to stage stoppages tomorrow between 6.00am and 9.00am.
This would affect all Intercity, DART and Commuter services.
Workers have said they are owed money for past productivity - but Irish Rail claims any extra payments can only be made if they are promised increased productivity in the future.
The rail operator says it is currently losing €1.5m per month.
Paul Cullen, assistant organiser at SIPTU, told Newstalk Breakfast says they had been trying to contact the company before now.
Barry Kenny, communications manager with Irish Rail, says people should be prepared for the strike action to take place tomorrow.
