The Wild Atlantic Way has been named, by The Lonely Planet, as one of the best offbeat road trip routes in the world.

"It brings you to roads and boreens that you wouldn't otherwise visit, and it works" - that is the verdict from Breakfast presenter Ivan Yates.

On the front pages:

The Examiner goes with "Key voter group get the most - opposition says better off benefit at the expense of the poor".

The Irish Independent has "Cashback in our pockets"

The Irish Times goes with "Young families benefit the most from Budget built to win votes".

That paper also has a great cartoon along the same themes, "VOTE FOR US" by staff cartoonist Martyn Turner.

The Herald leads with "Family guys - working families up €2,000 in giveaway Budget", accompanied by a picture of the Finance Ministers.

The Irish Daily Mail has a picture of the Taoiseach "smiling like a Chesire Cat".

The Irish Daily Star has a picture of Michael Noonan mocked up as a vampire "Trick or Treat".

The Irish Daily Mirror goes with "PAYE back - €1.5 billion for old, young and workers".

The Irish Sun "Justice scandal" and a picture of Garda Anthony Golden who was shot dead in Co. Louth on Sunday.

Inside:

The Irish Times has figures from The Courts Service that show more than 10,000 Irish drivers who have been summonsed to court for using a mobile phone while driving have escaped conviction. 71% were not convicted because of technicalities or because they agreed instead to make donations to the poor box.

A horror story in The Irish Examiner, of a rugby fan called Ian Brown lost his three tickets to the epic Ireland V France clash in Wales last weekend.

But, helpful fans John and Rachel from Limerick found the tickets and decided to hold up a sign with the message "Ian Brown lost something" on it. The sign they used was part of free promotional material being given out by DHL at the matches.

And it worked, Mr. Brown got his tickets back thanks to the honesty of the Limerick couple. In recognition, DHL has gifted them tickets for another match.

Daniel O'Donnell is in The Daily Star for his business success. That, and other papers, have the news that the Donegal crooner has made €2.9 million through his entertainment firm DOD promotions.

Elsewhere, former GAA star Paul Galvin's first fashion range will be stocked in Dunnes Stores.

And the presenters had fun with an item about how we frequently mispronounce the names of our favourite characters from literature.
