The Irish Times today leads with the story that "Banks seek to repossess nearly 4,500 homes" since the start of the year.

That figure is on top of 7,000 already in the system, but Kitty Holland writes that the rise of repossession orders may be easing off.

The Times also covers the story that an "extra judge sought for IBRC Inquiry".

The Irish Independent leads with the story that the "Coalition promises 266,000 extra jobs in the next five years" as part of a plan being launched today, but notes certain regions will have to work harder to attract workers, in particular when it comes to the quality of life on offer.

On the Irish Examiner, the lead story focuses on the State's Forensic Chief, who has given a "warning on DNA database", claiming that the current facilities are "unsuitable" and that construction on a new facility needs to start much earlier than scheduled.

The Star leads with the story of the family of the teenagers who were killed in a high speed pursuit with the police, who say they "will take case despite refusing to stop for gardaí".

The front pages contain plenty of photographs of the traffic chaos in Dublin yesterday, after a crash on the M50 brought about a closure of the motorway.

The Irish Daily Mail leads with the story of the former government minister at the heart of historical sex abuse allegations under the headline "Election crisis for party over abuse claims", while The Herald goes with "Ex minister's victims abuse diary" for their coverage.

In sports, there is lots of build up to Ireland's playoff match against Bosnia tomorrow, while RTÉ losing the rights to the coverage of the Six Nations to TV3 also makes headlines.

The Farmer's Journal contains coverage of Simon Coveney's comments on payments, as it states "Minister defends payment system. Coveney says number of payments made in line with 2014."

Inside the papers, The Independent has a story about a number of revisions that will be made to the J1 system, including the new plan that would see students need to have a job already before being granted a visa.

Ivan Yates questioned the stall that ICTU head Jack O'Connor has put out ahead of the next General Election, a story that makes the front page of The Irish Times too: "Union leader urges members to help prevent single party Fine Gael government."

Ivan thinks the party can't win 60 seats, never mind the 70 that Fine Gael would need to form the next government.
