A High Court judge has to decide whether Copper Face Jacks is responsible for a woman falling while doing Patrick Swayze-style 'Dirty Dancing'.
33-year-old Ciara O'Connell of Glenview Park in Tallaght alleges she broke her arm after falling on a wet floor at the nightclub on Harcourt Street in Dublin in August 2006.
The court heard Ciara O'Connell was dancing backwards with a colleague to a Shakira song in the style of the film 'Dirty Dancing' when the accident happened.
She alleges the floor was wet and that 52-year-old Noel Humphries slipped and fell on top of her causing her arm to bend back.
The court heard she has had 2 operations since the incident.
She is suing Copper Face Jacks for alleged negligence but the club rejects her claims and alleges that she and her colleague were dancing in a reckless fashion.
Wrapping up her case her barrister Senan Allen said 'sober well-behaved middle aged men out with work colleagues don't topple backwards' - arguing that it was much more likely Mr. Humphries had slipped.
Mr. Justice Sean Ryan will deliver judgment this day week.
