A woman is recovering in hospital after she was injured when a gas canister exploded in Co Clare this morning.
The incident happened at around 11.25am at a campsite in Doolin where she sustained burns to her face and legs.
A unit of Ennistymon Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident as there was no ambulance in the area at the time.
Fire service emergency first responders treated the woman until an ambulance arrived.
The woman was taken into care by ambulance paramedics and treated at the scene.
She was later removed to University Hospital Limerick for further treatment. The woman’s injuries are not believed to be serious.
