A woman has died in a crash in Co Cavan.

It happened in the early hours of this morning between Crosskeys and Ballyjamesduff when her car left the road.

The woman - who was in her twenties - was pronounced dead at the scene - and her body was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Navan.

The road remains closed and diversions are in place.
