Gardaí have arrested a third person in connection with the robbery of a post office in Kerry earlier in the week.

On Wednesday morning armed Gardaí fired shots in pursuit of three people after the raid in Waterville.

Two men in their 30s were arrested soon after and are still being held.

A 29-year-old woman was then arrested in Killarney at around 5.30pm yesterday evening.

This brings the total number in custody to three.
