Detectives investigating the murder of Basil McAfee in north Belfast in December 2013 have arrested a 23-year-old woman.

She was detained in Belfast this afternoon and is being questioned at a police station in the city.

50-year-old Mr McAfee's body was discovered in the living room of his home in Henderson Avenue on December 20, 2013.

He was the victim of an attack involving an axe and a knife and had last been seen alive the previous evening.

This is the sixth arrest so far in the investigation.
