Statistics from the “Advertise on Facebook” page show that gender bias might still exist when it comes to movies, music and interests like marriage.

There is a huge difference when it comes to Twilight, Leona Lewis, and art of knitting. But there is less gender bias when gadgets are involved. Men and women seem to agree when it comes to laptops, smartphones and tablet computers.

Movies

X Factor is more popular with women, it seems. The ITV series gets 73% of its “likes” from women. But change that to Star Wars, and Luke Skywalker and co are far more liked by men.

Music

Leona Lewis and Adele are more popular with women by almost 60%. Whereas men prefer AC/DC and Slayer.

Slayer, if you are unaware, is a Californian, thrash metal band with a penchant for screaming and a liking of skulls.

Activities and Interests

Dancing, shopping and cooking all get most of their “likes” from women. Rugby is the only hobby, on the list of four, which is more “liked” by men. But the sport has the least gender bias with just 36%.

Men “liked” cooking by just 30% and “liked” shopping and dancing even less. They prefer knitting to all of these.

Marriage is still getting “likes” even though research from the Centre for Social Justice in Britain estimates that by 2031 only 57 per cent of families will be headed by a married couple, falling to just 49.5 per cent by 2047.

It gets more thumbs up from women than it did from men by 46%.

Gadgets

Men "like" them more than women by just a tiny margin. Proving that we all have a bit of a gadget nerd inside.
The only difference is men seem to prefer laptops where women opt for ultrabooks.
