Today

It will be dry in most parts this morning, with sunny spells developing, but some scattered showers also, mainly in northern areas, which will gradually becoming widespread during the day.

Some of the showers will be heavy and prolonged in places, with a risk of thundery downpours and spot flooding, especially in Leinster and east Munster.

However, some areas will have fewer showers and mainly dry conditions will develop in the north later. Maximum temperatures will be between 16 to 19 degrees, in mostly light to moderate northerly breezes, fresh to strong along Atlantic coasts.

Tonight

Tonight, most areas will become dry, with clear spells developing, but some further scattered showers will occur, mainly in northern and northwestern areas and along parts of the east coast, where some will turn heavy towards morning. A few mist or fog patches also.

Minimum temperatures will be between 8 to 12 degrees.
