The rain will turn heavy and persistent later in the Northwest.

Good dry spells will develop over much of Munster and in Southern parts of Leinster but it will stay misty near coasts.

Maximum temperatures 14C to 17C, warmest in the south. South or Southwesterly winds will be mostly moderate overland.

Tonight will bring further outbreaks of rain and drizzle. It will be cloudy and misty with hill fog.

Lowest temperatures 10C to 13C with a moderate or fresh West to Southwest breeze.
