While most Donkeys are content with chewing grass and relaxing in the sun, the same cannot be said for one donkey called Patty.

Patty has become a renowned artist extraordinaire and is usually spotted walking in her home town wearing a red beret and carrying a paint brush in her mouth.

After watching her handler Vicky Greenslade painting, Patty looked intrigued so was given her own easel.

Patty took just three weeks to perfect her artistic talent using clicker training ”“ a positive reinforcement technique.

Patty continued to express her artistic talent by putting a paintbrush in her mouth to create masterpieces one brushstroke at a time

She isn’t just a novelty act either but a successful artist too with one of her artworks selling for €125.

Patty’s owner Vicky said: ‘She’s a very mouthy donkey so was keen to put the paintbrush in her mouth. She gets cross if she thinks I don’t like one of her paintings!’

Patty, eight, lives at Horseworld, in Bristol, after being rescued from Romania.

She isn’t just an expert in painting either she also knows how to kiss and can kick a football.
