Bears have been making headlines recently for their strange escapades, first one black bear was caught via CCTV stealing chocolates from a   href="http://www.newstalk.ie/2012/video/clip-of-the-day-bear-caught-stealing-candy/">candy shop in the US. Now there are reports of a bear family in Norway, breaking into a holiday cabin  in order to quench their thirst for beer.

The mother bear, along with her three cubs, managed to gain access to the cabin before cleaning it out completely of food as well as the booze.

They don’t appear to be lightweights either when it comes to their alcohol consumption, with the cabin’s owner Borthen Nilsen saying there are now 100 cans of beer unaccounted for.

‘They had a hell of a party in there.’ Mr. Nilsen said. ‘The entire cabin was destroyed. The beds and all kitchen appliances, stove, oven and cupboards and shelves were all smashed to pieces.

Even Mr. Nilsen said the only remnants left after the bears’ wild night was excrement, footprints and an awful stench.

‘They have bitten into the cans and drunk the beer. It’s almost like it has been taken out of Goldilocks and the three bears.’

The family-owned hut in Jarfjord, Finnmarken, north Norway, was discovered by Even’s mother and grandmother.

There are fears that the bears may have gotten a taste for the hard stuff and could return in search of more beer, presumably once their hangovers have worn off.

Till then better keep your guard up, who knows what these pesky bears could be up to next?
