Every year, the Emmy Awards mark the passing of all those stars, from music to the big screen, with a short video package. 

This year's ceremony was no different, as they took a look back on some of the names that touched our lives through their art and have left us over the last 12 months, allowing us to remember the legacy of their work one more time.  

From Joan Rivers to BB King, the package marked the loss of a number of legends, including ESPN's Stuart Scott, iconic director Wes Craven, Sam Simon of The Simpsons and Leonard Nemoy.
