RTÉ's Washington Correspondent luckily avoided injury during a live broadcast on the Nine O'Clock News.
Caitríona Perry was reporting live from New York when a gust of wind resulted in a light reflector screen suddenly falling over, and almost landed on the reporter.
Despite the very close call, Ms Perry kept her cool and promptly requested that the studio come back to her in a few moments.
"Sorry, we have a bit of an issue here, you may want to come back to me..." the reporter told news anchor Eileen Dunne.

Viewers were quick to praise Ms Perry for her professionalism on Twitter and she duly tweeted her thanks in response:
