Coming hot on the heels of the favourable reviews of Brooklyn at 2015’s Toronto International Film Festival, a new trailer for Steve Jobs has just been revealed to remind us that next February’s Oscars could well be an Irish double for‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Actor’.
Set for release on November 13th, Michael Fassbender’s awards buzz is already the talk of tinsel town, with the Kerryman’s performance as the difficult Apple creator Steve Jobs already drawing rave reviews.
In a film directed by Oscar-winner Danny Boyle, written by Oscar-winner Aaron Sorkin, Fassbender is joined by Kate Winslet, Jeff Bridges, and Seth Rogen, the film explores Jobs’ monumental success at the tech company, while exploring the many failings in his personal life as a husband and father.
After going through a pro-longed pre-production, the script having passed around Hollywood for a number of years, the film has even gotten the seal of approval of Apple’s Steve Wozniak, who recently said of Fassbender’s performance: “I felt like I was watching Steve Jobs.”
