Leo Varadkar was on the receiving end of a belt across the head during the Election Special on RTÉ 2 on Sunday evening.
The Minister for Health was listening intently as a member of the audience spoke about abortion, when his concentration was distracted by a low hanging boom mic which clocked him in the temple.
Thankfully it wasn't too serious, and Twitter had good fun with the incident afterwards.
Lucky that microphone didn't hit Leo a bit harder, if he'd ended up in A&E he'd be doing well to be out by polling day #RTE2ElectionSpecial
