On Sunday night, John Oliver turned his attention to the topic of the presidential election campaign currently underway in the United States, and the leading Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Although many had expected that he would have done so before now, Oliver did his usual deep dive into the details, with a strong comedic tone. 

The segment featured Oliver breaking down some of the most regular claims made about and by Trump namely that he 'tells it like it is', that he is self-funded, and that he's a tough, aggressive candidate.
