Donald Trump's performance at the Republican Debate garnered plenty of headlines, particularly when he was pushed on the topic of his comments about women by moderator Megyn Kelly of Fox News.
Trump probably didn't do himself any favours by treating it as a bit of a joke, and Kelly pushed him on it, something which the Boston Globe's Kevin Cullen pointed out on the Week in Review yesterday. However, when Trump appeared on CNN with Don Lemon yesterday discussing his performance, he spoke rather candidly about his views on Kelly, saying that he didn't think she was a very good journalist, and that she had asked "ridiculous" questions that were nothing to do with his campaign.
At that point he said that there was "blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever", but added that it was "not in my opinion, but in the opinion of hundreds of thousands of people on Twitter".
Before finishing up, he added that "she's a lightweight, and I couldn't care less about her", and made clear that he was the reason that there were such big ratings for the debate on TV.
