Back in 1960, The Magnificent Seven arrived in cinemas, starring Charles Bronson, Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn and James Coburn, and has been a staple of classic western cinema ever since.

It was in fact a remake of the 1954 Japanese epic Seven Samurai, so the fact that it's now getting remade shouldn't bother too many people.

The trailer sets up the plot nicely - bad cowboys are doing bad things, and a specific number of good cowboys have been hired to stop them - and on top of the fact that it's coming from the director of Training Day and The Equalizer, it's also got the likes of Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke and Peter Saarsgard among the fantastic cast.

The new and improved The Magnificent Seven will saddle into Irish cinemas from September 23rd.
