After she was diagnosed with Glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive form of brain cancer, Brittany Maynard discovered that she had just months to live.

Brittany and her husband decided that rather than suffering through her illness, she would take her own life with medication. In order to legally follow through on this, she moved from California to Oregon to access the state's Death with Dignity Act.

However, Brittany has decided that she will now postpone the day of her death. She explained that she was still spending time with her family and she didn't think the time was right.
