A horrible prank has gone viral after a man played a trick on his girlfriend. He hid a life size puppet in his girlfriend's TV while she was sleeping - the puppet was built to resemble Samara, the star of horror movie The Ring.

Perhaps the most surprising thing about the incident is that James Williams's girlfriend was still talking to him afterwards:

Williams spent weeks designing and making a convincing replica puppet of Samara.

He then waited until his girlfriend was asleep before waking her suddenly as the puppet crawled out of the telly.

Williams made the puppet out of rubber gloves, balloons, old clothes, a coat hanger and some paint.
