If one were to ask daredevil Flaviu Cernescu why he climbed the enormous chimney outside Pitesti, Romania, he would almost certainly give the same answer.
Cernescu recently uploaded footage to YouTube of his ascent, in which he used no safety equipment, leaving him only one small error away from a gruesome fate on the ground below.
He even walks across a pair of steel girders spanning the mouth of the chimney.
The CET Sud II chimney, standing at 280 metres, was part of a coal plant that was never finished.
