A lot of places are off limits to skateboarders, but with their heavy security airports particularly are forbidden territory.

For a long time, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 was probably the closest skaters could get to grabbing some air in an airport terminal. Some lucky skateboarders, however, were recently granted access to Helsinki Airport for an exceedingly rare treat.

Hosted by Finnish Arto Saari and as part of a promotion by Finnair, those who attended the invitational were given the opportunity to skate in the airport baggage claim area, flight gates, hangers and even near the planes themselves.
