A bride-to-be (26) has died in a car crash in the US just minutes after snapping a selfie in the vehicle as she headed to her bachelorette party.
Colette Moreno leaves behind a son (5) and a devastated family.
"She was so excited. We were planning," said a tearful fiance Jesse Arcobasso (28). The Missouri woman was in the passenger's seat when a car being driven by her friend collided with an on-coming vehicle.
The driver, Ashley Theobald, was trying to pass a truck on the way to the Lake of the Ozarks, where they had planned a weekend of partying.
Ms. Theobald said Ms. Moreno suffered from asthma and had been coughing because of the fumes that the truck was discharging.
"We both thought it was clear and there was a hill that neither one of us saw. There was a truck coming and I swerved and he swerved with me" she recalled.
Ms. Theobald suffered minor injuries.
"I've never had a friend like her. I won't ever have a friend like her" she said.
The family has set up a fund in her memory.
Ms. Moreno had been planned to marry Mr. Arcobasso next month in Jamaica, reports said.
