Up to 32 jobs are to go at Cork Airport.
It is in an effort to reduce operating costs and reverse significant on-going losses.
The job cuts will be voluntary.
Other cost cutting measures include a full review of existing structures, rosters and staffing levels.
Cork Airport Director Niall McCarthy says the move is necessary as the airport has been suffering since the economic downturn with passenger numbers falling over the last 3 years.
The second busiest Irish airport manages an average of 7,000 passengers per day with this rising to 15,000 during the peak season and up to 60 aircrafts movements a day.
Over 2.5 million passengers will use Cork Airport this year flying to over 60 destinations.
