Bono has confirmed that U2 will be playing in Ireland in November.
The city or cities they will play in, or the exact dates, are not yet known.
However an announcement is believed to be imminent.
The band had been looking for a venue big enough to cater for the stage configuration used during the 'Innocence and Experience' shows.
But it has now been decided to reformat the show so it can be brought to Ireland.
Journalist with the Irish Times, Brian Boyd, was speaking to Bono after their show in Turin last night.
He says the band was determined to bring the tour home and now they have found a way.
