Two men have been arrested by gardai investigating a multi-million euro fraud and money laundering operation.

Gardai from the Bureau of Fraud Investigation, with the help of the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB), arrested two men aged in their 30s and 40s.

They were detained in Dublin yesterday morning. They were released last night with a file being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Gardai had previously arrested a man (49) in Leitrim in February as part of a €4 million investment fraud.

A significant amount of money in various bank accounts was frozen in relation to that arrest.

Investigations are on-going.
