Two men accused of assaulting and falsely imprisoning Quinn Industrial Holdings (QIH) director Kevin Lunney have been granted bail by the High Court.

Luke O’Reilly from Mullahoran Lower, Kilcogy, Co Cavan, and Darren Redmond of East Wall in Dublin will have to abide by strict conditions while on bail.

Mr Lunney claims he was abducted from his home near Derrylin, Co Fermanagh last September.

After his alleged abduction, the father-of-six told Gardaí he was then physically assaulted before being left by the side of a road in Cavan two and a half hours later.

Luke O’Reilly and Darren Redmond were previously refused bail, but both were granted bail at the High Court today subject to strict conditions.

Two others are also facing trial in relation to what is alleged to have happened to Mr Lunney - including Alan O’Brien from East Wall in Dublin, and another man who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Their trial is due to take place before the non-jury Special Criminal Court early next year.
