Two Limerick brothers have been refused bail after appearing in court charged with possession of an estimated €50,000 worth of heroin for sale or supply.

43-year old Brian Collopy from Kilonan, Ballysimon and and 40-year-old Kieran Collopy from St Ita's Street, St Mary's Park, appeared before a special sitting of Kilmallock District Court this evening.

They were arrested on December 15th, after a house in St Mary's Park was searched by gardaí.

The brothers were remanded in custody to appear before Limerick District Court next Tuesday.
