Two men have died after a house fire in County Meath.

Emergency services were called to the scene in the Blackthorn Close area of Kells shortly after 3am this morning.

Two men - aged in their 40s and 50s - were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other people who were in their house - a man and a woman - were uninjured.

The scene is being preserved for a technical examination.

Gardaí say they're now investigating all circumstances of the fire.
