Gardai are appealing for witnesses after two men were injured in connected shooting incidents in Dublin.
A 52-year-old man cycling on Glasnevin Avenue in Glasnevin at around 8.15am this morning was shot in the stomach beside a bus stop.
A short time later a second man aged in his 30s was discovered nearby at Hillcrest Park with gunshot injuries to his leg.
The scene is sealed off as gardai investigate
The men are being treated for non life-threatening injuries in the Mater and Beaumont Hospitals.
A shotgun recovered at the second scene is undergoing ballistic tests. The two scenes have been sealed off for a technical examination. Witnesses with information are asked to contact Ballymun garda station on 01-666-4400.
Garda spokesperson Superintendent David Taylor is asking anyone with information to come forward.
