Today

Wet and windy early this morning with persistent rain and strong, gusty southerly winds. The rain will clear eastwards later in the morning.

Sunny spells and blustery showers will follow for the rest of the day with fresh, gusty southwest winds.

Becoming colder with afternoon temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.

There are two Status Yellow weather warnings in place for the country today, but due to end early morning.

A wind warning for the whole country ends at 6am, while a rainfall warning for Cork and Kerry ends at 7 O'clock this morning. 

Tonight

This evening, rain will become persistent along the west coast and will move across the country early tonight. It will clear later in the night.

It will become cold after the rain clears with temperatures falling to between 3 and 6 degrees with fresh southwest winds.
