Finance Minister Michael Noonan says trust needs to be rebuilt with the Greek government if any deal on a third bailout is to be made.

Eurozone finance ministers are meeting in Brussels this afternoon to discuss a reform package for Greece, likely to be around €70 billion.

An emergency summit of EU heads of state and government is due to take place tomorrow.

Stones have been thrown at Serbia's Prime Minister at today's memorial event for victims of the Srebrenica massacre.

Aleksandar Vucic who was booed briefly on his arrival.

The Prime Minister and his delegation were later confronted by angry members of the crowd throwing stones.

Tens of thousands of people are at the event, marking 20 years since the worst genocide in modern European history.

Management at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin says the re-location of the new National Maternity Hospital to their campus could have a negative impact on patients.

They have written to the Health Minister Leo Varadkar to voice their concerns that construction work on the new maternity hospital could impact the standard of care for patients at the existing St Vincent's facility.

A typhoon with wind gusts of 200 kilometres per hour has hit land in southeastern China, forcing the evacuation of more than one million people.

Schools have closed, flights and trains have been suspended and thousands of ships have returned to port.

The storm is thought to be the most powerful to hit the Zhejiang province in more than 60 years.

Gardaí are seeking the public's help in tracing the whereabouts of a 41-year-old man missing from Waterford city.

Liam Roberts was last seen at his home at Spring Alley in Waterford on Saturday the 4th of July.

He is described as being 6 foot tall with blue eyes - no description of his clothing is available.

Anyone who has seen Liam or who can help in locating him, is asked to contact Waterford Garda station on 051-305300, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
