Loads of great stuff to look forward to on tonight's show, including an interview about one of the most iconic bassists to have ever lived, and a live session with Ireland's, if not the world's greatest Smiths' cover bands.
First up, it’s just gone 30 years since the passing of the hugely influential Metallica bassist Cliff Burton, who died in some very unfortunate circumstances while the band were on tour of Europe.
Joel McIver, author of ‘To Live Is To Die: The Life And Death Of Metallica's Cliff Burton’ joins Tom to talk about the life and death of the rockstar inspired by Phil Lynnott and Lemmy, who's cult continues to grow, year on year.
In the second hour, Tom will be joined in session by These Charming Men. Together since 1995, the band headline the Annual Smiths/Morrissey Convention in Los Angeles every year, have filled in for The Smiths in Japan, and what's more, lead singer Dave McGuinness will also be recognised as lead singer of Lir!
All of that, plus loads of great music from Bon Iver's new album, Suede, Trashcan Sinatras, We Cut Corners and more. Tune in!
